Fashion: Favorite Spring/Summer Trends 2016!

I really like posting about the fashion trends that come out every year because it gives me the chance to explore and inspire my taste along the way.
Some of the things seem to be in every year. Bright colors are always very popular for the warmer months. I guess we're all bored of wearing blacks the whole winter and just want to brighten it up a little.
The following are just some of my favorites that I noticed and would love to incorporate into my wardrobe. I love adding a little bit of something new to my staples.

So here are some of the spring/summer trends I really like and hope to wear in the next few months:

1. Patches and Pins
This seems to be in every store and every fashion magazine. It doesn't matter if it's a t-shirt, a bomber jacket or (a lot of) denim. There are so many clothing items these days that have patches on them.

2. Mom (Boyfriend) Jeans
I have yet to find a pair that I like on me. However, I really like the style. Also, they are a lot more comfortable than your standard skinny jean.
Show Mountains Denim
3. Bomber Jackets
The bomber is back! Another tricky trend to follow, but I believe there are some options to go for out there.

4. Raincoats
I don't necessarily like every one I see, but there are a few pieces I really loved and would like to wear, maybe even when it's not raining? :)

5. Adidas
It seems to be everywhere, and I like it. The sporty brands in general are making a comeback. I really enjoy wearing sneakers in the warmer months, so I really don't mind. I would also reccomend Superga (alongside the classics like Adidas and Nike) for sneakers, I really love the look of them and they aren't too sporty.

Superga 2750 Cotu Classic Grey Vapor

6. Prints
This goes alongside some other already mentioned trends, however, I have been seeing more printed clothing items than ever. This includes prints like fruit, animals, summer things etc.

7. ''Childish''
This is the best way I could think of describing this trend. Everyone who knows me can tell you I am a child at heart, so it's no wonder I absolutely love it! It kind of goes alongside the already mentioned patch trend, but it goes beyond that as well.

 8. Dungarees and playsuits
This 90s style is definitely back in fashion! I also like the playsuits that have been popular the last couple of years!

9. Showing some skin
The ''cold shoulder'' seems to be a thing this year, but there are also cutouts on other places that are very much fashionable and trendy!
ZARA Top

10. Suede
It was very on trend in the colder months and it seems to be continuing into the summer! I like it as a bit of a twist to the classic leather jacket.

There are some more trends I like, but wouldn't really wear as much.. Let me know what your favorite trends for the next season are!

TRAVEL: How to visit Zagreb like a local?

After taking a break from blogging, I am writing you a post about my city. The city of Zagreb. These are my tips for visiting the city of Zagreb as a local.

What to do in Zagreb?
We all know the saying ''When in Rome, do as Romans do''. If you are living in Zagreb or just happen to come here, don't miss the chance to enjoy this beautiful city. All year round, the city offers different contents, where everyone can find a little bit for himself.

Coffee at the 'špica'
This comes first because it has become a cult place for drinking your morning coffee. Especially on weekends, this is this city's favorite activity. It is an opportunity for hanging out with old and meeting new friends. I suggest everyone to get high on the good vibes and decide to look for a cafe in the city center. Here they will be able to observe the people passing by while enjoying a good cup of coffee. If you really want to feel like a local, head down to Cvjetni square on a Sunday morning for a cup of coffee.

Shopping
Now that you had your morning cup of coffee, you could do a little bit of shopping. Downtown Zagreb offers many shops which will allow you to update your wardrobe (and makeup ;)). In close proximity, you can find ZARA, H&M, MAC and many other popular brand stores. My advice would be to also check some of the local shops with domestic brands. You can find a really good second hand shop in Dežmanova street. Also, there are some nice tea and coffee shops around.
After the shopping has exhausted you, go grab some ice cream. My personal recommendation: Chocolat 041 in Masarykova street.

Art and architecture
Zagreb also offers some of the most beautiful architectural creations, which can give you a sense of the past. The most famous one being the Cathedral, you can also take a stroll along Lenucijeva potkova (''Lenuzzis  horseshoe'') - a set of streets with green surfaces and beautiful buildings around them. Also don't forget to look up, because you might just find some exceptionally beautiful buildings. There is also a lot of public sculpture, created by famous and very talented Croatian and foreign artists. If you are an art lover, you should head to one of many museums offered in this city. There is something for everyone, some good places to visit are the Museum of Contemporary art, Zagreb City Museum and the Modern Gallery.

Parks and green surfaces
Zagreb offers a lot of beautiful green areas where you can take your dog for a walk or just take a stroll. Don't miss the chance to go to Sljeme and enjoy the fresh mountain air there! Try food from a restaurant up there (tasty and not too expensive) and if it's winter time (and if there is snow) you can also go skiing up there.
Furthermore, there are parks like Zrinjevac (very close to the city center), Maksimir (only a 10 minute drive away from the center) and Dubravkin put, which is as much inside the city as it is quiet and distant from the traffic.

Theaters and cinemas
Did I tell you there is a lot to do and see in Zagreb? Well, there is.
If you want to go to the cinema - you can go to Branimir mall, where there is the Cinestar. It offers a decent amount of popular movies and they are not translated but have subtitles, so even if you don't speak Croatian, you can go and see them (double check for animated movies though).
If you like movies that are not mainstream, head to Kino Europa.. You might find something for yourself there. There are also many theaters to visit, the most famous one being HNK (Croatian National Theater), but also a bit more laid back ones like Komedija and Kerempuh. Whichever one you choose, it should be interesting.

Events
Every season Zagreb offers a new past time to go out in the evenings and experience the city life and atmosphere. In the winter months there is a fare and many places to drink mulled wine from and have a bite to eat. In the summertime they organize events around the city to go to and enjoy concerts and local food.

Going out
Now this is an opportunity you don't want to miss. Definitely last but not least! People from Zagreb love going clubbing. There is a variety to choose from, and it can suit everyone's taste. It's not too expensive to get in. The drinks are a bit more pricey than outside the club, but you can act as a local here too and just go and have a few drinks somewhere else before you go to the club.

I hope this will be interesting to those who want and also to those who are thinking about visiting Zagreb. Croatia has a lot to offer, Zagreb is a part of it. I plan to write about it some more in the future.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

ASOS Order Review

Recently I placed an order on ASOS.
I never ordered from there before, but I hear a lot of people talking about it, so I wanted to try it out. My order just arrived and after looking at all of it I wanted to share my thoughts about it.
So here are the things I ordered and some thoughts on them:

This is probably my favorite item I got! It was only available in a Large, and usually being a size Medium I was afraid it would be too big on me. But the shape makes it ok if it's a size bigger (I don't think it would look very different a size smaller). The dress is made of a very soft material, quite thick and generally well made. I absolutely love it and will be wearing it a lot :)

 2. The Leather Satchel Company Mini Satchel
I usually like to get my bags and shoes made from 100% leather, and when I saw this pretty bag on sale for a good price I jumped to the opportunity. The bag is really well made! I love it! Thick leather and very sturdy. I would recommend this bag to anyone thinking about buying it.

I wasn't very happy with this dress. There are threads hanging out of it and the material feels low quality. On the other side, the dress is quite pretty.

I got this shirt for my boyfriend. Absolutely love it! The quality feels really nice and he is also very happy with it :) In the picture it looks quite pale and washed out, but it's not as washed out in real life (which I also like).

5. Paperchase Russian Doll Highlighter
Good highlighters, they get the job done and are really cute to look at.

 6. Pieces Leather Purse
I got this purse because it was supposed to be smaller in size. It really is quite small, which makes it a good going out wallet. It should fit all of my smaller bags. It doesn't have a lot of space, so I probably wouldn't recommend it for day-to-day use.

The case is cute. Unfortunately it came broken. It bothers me that the plastic doesn't go higher than the screen, but that's something you can't really see from the pictures on the site. All in all, it's ok.

That's all I have to say about that :)
All in all, I am quite happy with what I got! A few things really stand out as very good purchases!

I hope this post helped some of you who were thinking about purchasing some of these items.
Let me know what you think!
